Vintage. No box or papers. This Rolex Oysterdate Precision dates back to the 1950s and is in original condition with a period dial & hands. The inner back cover is stamped "1.55" which means manufacture of 1st quarter in 1955. The case & bracelet has been polished & is in great condition without dents or major scratches. The inner locking thread shows some evidence of corrosion which is normal for Oyster cases from this age & the movement is in very good condition.

The original dial has aged nicely with patina which is quite charming while the is a ring near the centre which is an old scratch probably caused by a loose hand some years back but the ring is symmetrical & adds to the flavour. The date disc is in red which is an important feature of Rolex dates model from that period. This feature was discontinued in the late 1960s & recently revived again & first re-introduced into the Rolex Turn-O-Graph Ref. 116264.

These vintage Rolex Oysters are very scarce now & to find one with are very scarce now & to find one with the original dial & hands is even more difficult as many were reconditioned which removes the vintage value & identity.
