This is the most popular chronograph made by Chopard & it commemorates the famous Mille Miglia ~1000 miles vintage car Rally held in Italy annually where Chopard is a major sponsor.

This particular example is a special edition made to honour Alfa Romeo and only 750 numbered pieces were produced while the dial is signed Alfa Romeo 6C 1750GS which denotes the competition model that raced in Mille Miglia and the back cover has a relief of the brand as well. The crown tip has a relief which draws inspiration of the steering wheel of pre-war cars.

In 1930, the Gran Sport was Alfa Romeo’s fourth series 6C and their most capable sports-racing car. Fitted with competition bodywork, Tazio Nuvolari drove one to overall victory at the IV Coppa delle Mille Miglia and Giuseppe Campari repeated the feat in 1931 with his.

Like all of the 6C series, the Gran Sport benefited from Vittorio Jano’s excellent engineering and design principles. It was an updated version of the 6C 1750 Super Sport from 1929 which had similar specification.

This is a one owner's watch that comes with all the accessories except for the lost cert (Pressure gauge is not given for later watches) & it has received a light polishing to remove surface wear and good to the naked eyes. The bezel has perfect black paint on the 24hrs bezel & the rubber strap presents very well as it is now. It makes an excellent daily watch & will accompany you on travels with the extra GMT hand.
