This is a gorgeous vintage Rolex Oyster perpetual Date chronometer dating to early 1980s and comes in a yellow gold shell over steel Oyster case. At almost forty years old, it is presented in near mint and original condition. The original solid gold fluted bezel is sharp and sparkles with Rolex crown stamps underneath. The steel case back retains the original engraving "Stainless steel" that has never been polished. The champagne dial which matches the gold case s original and presents in near mint too. The movement is again sparkling as seen in our images and shows no corrosion to the case. It is further fitted with an original reptile leather strap and gold-plated Rolex buckle in very good condition.

This Ref.15505 gold shell Rolex is the last of it's kind. For decades, they offered an opportunity for clients to own a gold watch at a fraction of the cost and they have since been discontinued by late 1980s.

This watch will last many decades to come as long as you take good care of it & it is so affordable now. The quick-set date and hack-seconds features are convenient for daily use and it will be difficult to find another in this condition again.

This is a premium luxury model vs the regular 15505 as our watch here is fitted with an original solid gold fluted bezel.
