An iconic Rolex Oyster Oyster perpetual Date chronometer. This Ref.15000 vintage Rolex dates to 1983 and has all the bells and whistles of a vintage Rolex watch. It has just completed a full overhaul and a new crystal fitted while the case and bracelet are left unpolished and presents as how we received with some surface wear and no visible dents nor deep scratches but do expect the usual surface hairlines. The oyster bracelet remains tight and this watch will look equally pleasing with a leather strap,

At forty years old, this Rolex is presented in rather good condition. The silvered dial presents in near mint except for some miniscule spottings on the edge at 9 to 11 o'clock but not visible to the naked eyes and only possible to pick up with a 10X loupe, this is a hallmark of age and an original dial as many of these watches came with restored dials that impacts the value.

This Ref.15000 is a continuation of the Oyster Perpetual with a date at 34mm that first started in the 1950s and this model offers a quick-set date function with a higher-beat balance @ 28800 which offered better accuracy with the then new Calibre 3035. It was then replaced by Ref.15200 with sapphire glass and production ceased by 2000s.

This watch will last many decades to come as long as you take good care of it & it is so affordable now. The quick-set date and hack-seconds features are convenient for daily use and maintenance is at reasonable cost.
