From our vault. This is a very charming Eterna-matic from the 1960s and it was an important model for the Eterna Watch Co. which gave birth to the indispensable ETA ébauche supplier that we know today. The 5 dots logo is said to be inspired by the then ground-breaking five ball bearings placed within the central arbor of the automatic rotor to reduce resistance and increase efficiency. A design which is still in use today since it's introduction in 1948.

This Watch is in very good condition as you can see from our pictures. It has the very rarely seen and original crown that comes with it. The movement sparkles and case shows little wear throughout while the original dial is in near mint condition with all tritium intact.

A very affordable vintage that will last a lifetime as long as you maintain it well.

Watch works fine and sold without warranty as our mechanics are reluctant to be involved with these.

#1 Time consuming to calibrate a vintage movement after an overhaul and they have too many projects on hand to worry about

#2 Our mechanics are Swiss trained by major brands and their fees vs the value of the watch just doesn't make sense

#3 In fact, the creation of this webpage alone with photographs etc costs about half the value of the watch so we're just doing it out of passion and if we were to count the interest lost on our purchase price then we're actually losing money on it

#4 You can still find many mechanics out there that would entertain these vintages for a very reasonable fee so all's not lost & vintage watch collectors love to get involved in the journey of their watches so we'll leave it to you.
