If you've been hunting for a high quality vintage chronograph, then this is the one. This is a very rare triple registers chronograph by Juvenia of Switzerland. Located in La-Chaux-de-Fonds, this is a company with rich history that dates back to 1860 and any watch collector worth their salt would certainly know this brand. Juvenia is one of the very few Swiss brands that survived the quartz crisis and remains in continuous production till now. One of their iconic model is the Sextant watch.

This watch was a Christmas gift and engraved on it's back cover "12.25.1966 and initials R.B.J.S". Making this 58years old.

It was made to the highest quality of it's time and features a heavy waterproof steel casing with screw-lock back cover. It has a soft-iron dust & anti-magnetic cover sheltering the Venus Cal.175 movement with 17 jewels and signed. The sunray silvered dial has three registers and a blue Pulsometer scale which is a prized feature for chronograph collectors as this is a very rare print for the medical profession. The watch is on par with Breitling's Top-time and could very likely come from the same manufacture as period Breitlings used the same Venus chronograph movement. In fact, in order to save costs, Breitling would discontinue the water-proof casing later in favour of snap-on backs. (We have two vintage Breitling Top-Time chronographs on display in our gallery and our private collection consists of over half a dozen Navitimers and Cosmonautes fitted with Venus movements)

This watch shows great aesthetics and could be mistaken for a pre-Daytona Oyster chronograph as they share similar profile and dial layout but this is thicker and heavier than the Rolex.

This watch was acquired directly from the single owner's family in USA which explains the condition from it's dry weather and the watch was kept away for decades in a drawer. It presents in near mint condition throughout. The case appears to have never been polished with sharp edges and only shows light micro handling hairlines which matches with the condition of the dial, hands and movement. The watch takes about 17 winds on the crown to full power reserve. The original sunray silver finished dial is mint except for a tiny black scratch line next to the 50 mark on the pulsometer which is hardly visible to naked eyes. Movement was serviced recently and works as it should.

The watch has 19mm lugs size so we fitted a Rolex style Oyster bracelet and it took on perfectly as seen in some of the images here. It was delivered with a black lizard strap with an original signed steel buckle.

Watch is sold with the bracelet, two leather straps and a spare new acrylic crystal.

A highly collectible chronograph by a pedigree Swiss watchmaker and it would be very difficult to find another that rivals this.
