This is a very rare watch with the error dial that features a white trimmed red Alinghi logo and only the first batch of few hundred pieces had this as subsequent pieces were recalled or replaced with the correct red only logo on the dial. This is a one owner's watch that was only worn for a few times. It is in mint condition with nothing to fault on.

This is the first forged carbon case watch in the world, a revolutionary case manufacture that was kept in secrecy by the factory and has since been much copied by the industry. The Forged Carbon Royal Oak, Off-Shore Alinghi Team was specially made for the 2007 America's Cup to honour the 32nd America's Cup defender and only 1300 numbered pieces were manufactured. It is also the first forged carbon cased watch which is a revolutionary timepiece when launched and caused much stir in the horology world. The dial is decorated with the logo of Team Alinghi and depicted on the titanium case back as well.

The dial has an opening from 12 to 3 o'clock which features a 10 minute countdown Yachtimer scale for regatta use. The only AP Royal Oak so far to have this function.

It was a breakthrough in watch making history as this was the first time that such an exotic material harnessing the advancement of technology was able to produce an ultra light weight watch that's very comfortable on the wrist. The appearance of the case has a marbled effect which is satin and soft to feel while no two pieces are the same as the carbon fibre is randomly distributed in the mould then created under intense pressure and heat. The result is unpredictable. It weighs a mere 92 grams while the gold model weighs 461 grams.

This watch was so sought after in it's hey days that intense demand by collectors propelled the real world price to over S$60K when available. Today, our watch here can be yours for a lot lesser and with the precious error dial. The box is styled after the winch from a sailing boat and weights quite a fair bit. This watch comes complete with it's original accessories.
