This is a very high quality open face pocket chronograph watch retailed by Tiffany & Co and made by Concord Watch Co for the American market with a 14K yellow gold case and comes with the original leather box with satin lining. It is has a standard stem wind and time setting mechanism via the crown which takes about 25 winds to full power reserve. It dates to 1930s and pre-war area which would've been purchased by the very wealthy as Great Depression was still hurting the global economies.

The solid yellow gold case is in excellent condition throughout with strong hinges and covers that snap tightly. There are 3 mild flat spot dents to the rim of the case @ 2, 6 & 9 o'clock but no major dents nor deep scratches and just the usual handling hairlines. Dial is original and in tip-top condition. It has a monogram with initials of HA on the back cover. The inner hinged cuvette has evidence of work done to remove engravings on it which happens and doesn't hurt the value.

The Rattrapante (Split-seconds) Chronograph movement is an exquisite gem and work of art here. It's one of the finest quality that rivals the best and the balance cock is engraved with CXC which is the US export abbreviation for the Swiss manufacturer for North American market. Pressing the button @ 11 o'clock starts and stops the split second hand while pressing the small built-in button on the crown is for activating and stopping the chronograph function.

It weighs approx. 74grams & all functions work. Such complications are very rare in the past and even more desirable now after nearly a century as they represent an era of sophistication and technical knowledge.
