This is probably one of the most desirable modern Monaco special editions. The Gulf model is the quenessential watch associated with Steve McQueen who raced in a Gulf livery Porsche 917K & won the 24hrs LeMans. It is also one of the most important & famous racing car in Porsche history.

For those who don't know, this Gulf is an American oil company & it was the 8th largest manufacturing company in the States in 1941 & became the 9th in 1979. They ceased in 1984 & exist today, having interest in several sectors.

This is a sold out model & there were two versions. A white dial & this black one. It is still being sold on other sites for up to US$4000!
