Pre-owned. Comes with orig. boxes (in poor condition), manual & dated paper. 1 owner's watch that comes complete. The watch is in mint condition & may have had a professional polish to factory specs. It is in superb condition, mint throughout while the original alligator strap is just lightly used & will last quite a while longer. This is probably one of the most desirable modern Monaco special editions.

This watch was inspired by the 1970s classic racing car movie Le Mans starring Steve McQueen who wore a Gulf racing suit driving the Gulf livery Porsche 917K that won the original 24hrs Le Mans race. The car is also one of the most important & famous racing car in Porsche history. The white dial version was the first of the limited editions with a second in black dial and then this Grey edition with sapphire crystalⁱ.

These Gulf Oil editions were all sold out & very sought after by collectors. 

For those who are unaware, Gulf is an American oil company & it was the 8th largest manufacturing company in the United States in 1941 & became the 9th in 1979. They ceased operations in 1984 but exist today with interests in several sectors.
