About This Watch

Vintage. Sold with period Rolex boxes, 90's manual & service papers but no original certificate. This Rolex Explorer II 1655 has had a new case replacement by Rolex Center in Japan so it bears the serial nos starting with 440K and has the documents dating from June 2006 to support it. The original case bears serial nos 32511** which dates this watch to 1971.

The movement was serviced and original period matching folding Oyster bracelet re-brushed to match. The dial and hands are original with matching colour-aged tritium which makes this watch very attractive.

The 20mm Oyster bracelet has 11 link, 2 links short from full size & is tight with a fold line on two links but otherwise in great condition for it's age. The entire case & bezel are fresh from 2006 and never polished since so the lugs have the polished bevel edges while the teeth on the back cover is near perfect.

We are now in the 3rd generation Explorer 2 with a 42mm diameter case.
