One owner's watch from new & purchased from an authorised retailer in JB, Malaysia.

This watch is lightly used with some tiny little dings on the edge of the steel bezel but nothing much otherwise, case is free from dents or major scratches and never polished. Perfect glass and sold with a Bund style black leather strap while the original lightly worn brown calf leather comes with it. A beautiful example that's sold with everything and tough to repeat again.

The Speedmaster ref. CK 2998 was the first OMEGA to reach space, when astronaut Walter Schirra  wore the watch during the 'Sigma 7' mission of the Mercury Programme in 1962. Schirra had purchased the watch for his own use, but two and a half years later, the Speedmaster would be officially certified by NASA for all manned-missions, launching it into history.

This is a must have for all watch collectors as it's one the most important model from Omega & perhaps the most important chronograph ever. The Speedmaster Moonwatch has accompanied NASA astronauts on no less than Six Lunar missions.
