A very respectable example from the late 1950s IWC steel gent's watch. Archive indicates that the movement was manufactured in 1957 and the case between 1957-1960 so this is a matching numbers watch made and sold in the late 1950s. We have dismantled the watch to study and you can see that there are virtually no signs of corrosion or even a speck of rust for this steel watch which is quite a rare find for a sixty years watch. The back cover snaps very tight which is a good sign of little use while the crown is original and signed with the fish logo but has worn marks.

What we have here is fitted with one of the most respectable movement from IWC, Calibre 89 which was a military grade movement and supplied to the British War department from the late 1940s.
