This early 20th century IWC Open face pocket watch has a solid 14karat pink gold & triple hinged case. It is heavy with very good & tight hinges. The case is stamped with "Probus Scafusia IWC" mark, stamped numbers and hallmarked throughout. The pin-cone guilloché finish on the back cover has extensive wear on the sides over a century of handling but otherwise there are no deep scratches and has very mild dents but hardly visible. The original bow (ring) is stamped with gold hallmarks with a matching crown.

The white enamel-porcelain dial is in perfect condition, double sunk and has the factory name beautifully signed in full cursive lettering which is both beautiful and important as some early IWC watches were not signed on the dials. It also features 24hrs on the perimeter in red.

The gold gilt, frosted brass movement is in near mint condition and again stamped with the round "Probus IWC Scafusia" factory logo on the main bridge. The serial numbers on the movement traces this watch back to circa 1925.

Overall, this is a beautiful IWC pocket watch in solid pink gold with a perfect dial and near mint movement. We have replaced a new, thicker and lower German acrylic crystal on this watch after these photos were taken so it presents better than what you see here. It takes about 14 winds to full power reserve and depressing the pin with the crown to set time. Times very well in near chronometer standard.
