About This Watch

Pre-owned. Comes with orig. boxes, manual & dated paper. One owner's watch from new purchased from a German retailer in Essen, J. Peter Rust Gmbh. This Big Pilot Top Gun is housed in an advanced black Zirconium Oxide together with the crown in titanium underscore IWC as the pioneering watch maker's role as one of the first companies in the watchmaking industry to use these materials.

The case has sustained some minor lines on the ceramic case and are shown on the images here. There are no chips or other major flaw on the black ceramic case & strap is used. The matt titanium buckle has some faint hairline scratches but not a bother.

This watch is fitted with an IWC-manufactured 51111 calibre (50000-calibre family) with Pellaton automatic winding system providing a 7 days power reserve when fully wound up. It takes 1960 complete revolutions of the rotor to full wind up this movement.

This watch was made in cooperation with the US Navy Fighter Weapons School, popularly known as TOPGUN for short. Singapore has been sending selected pilot trainees from RSAF to this school & a few have scored the top student there which is an honourable achievement.
