This watch has just completed a full works by IWC costing S$1220 with invoice & is sold with two years international warranty from 24 Oct 2017 till 23 Oct 2019 so you can own this watch with a peace of mind.

This gorgeous IWC Big Pilot is a one owner's watch and presents in near mint condition now.

This is a rare 1st edition Big Pilot Ref.5002 that has been discontinued and replaced with the current Ref.5009.

The 5002 has a slow-beat movement (18000vph) so visually, the "ticking" of the sweep center seconds is amplified across the oversized dial with just 5 beats a second whereas the current version with a high-beat movement (21600vph) has a smoother "ticking" showing 6 beats a second. The dial on the 5002 has a purer military look with a digit 9 while the later ones did without that & simplified the dial for a more modern look. The back cover has a simpler and military inspired markings far from the later fancy ones that sometimes include an image of an aeroplane engraved onto it so this is purer. Finally, our watch here retains the important & original fish crown which can only be found on the first generation Big-Pilot.

Any watch enthusiast will appreciate this watch far more than the current series as whether it beats at 18000 or 21600 has little difference to us but visually, this 5002 offers a more authentic resemblance to the original pilot watch of 1940s.

The original strap is worn, with a missing runner and though useable, we are giving a pair of new after-market BP style leather strap to the buyer.
