Pre-owned. No boxes or papers but watch has just completed a full works @ the IWC service centre.

This beautiful IWC Portuguese is a one owner's watch but unfortunately he lost the accessories while moving. This Ref.5454 is a direct descendant of the original Portuguese from 1930s and bears a highly desirable in-house hand-wind manufacture movement. It is an instant classic and rarely appears on the pre-owned market.

Our watch here was returned to IWC service center for a complete works that took two months to complete. The watch was disassembled, polished, movement serviced and any worn parts changed then regulated & timed. Gaskets were also replaced under this routine major job and the final bill was RM2780 (S$930) so the watch is fresh as new now and offers water resistant as well. The original strap is worn and discarded so we have replaced it with a matching 3rd party strap that looks almost exactly the same as original.

This model has been discontinued by the factory somewhere in 2014. Oversized and manual winding watches are often collector's items as we usually find high quality movements in them and they offer great reliability with low cost of maintenance. If you admire vintage watches but need the durability and ease of maintenance then this is the watch to have now.

The red 60 on the small seconds counter is a nice touch on the dial.
