Pre-owned. No boxes (the faux leather on the boxes of this period are always so badly worn that people throw them!) but has manual, year slide & undated paper. This "Da Vinci" was first created by IWC in 1985 & stunned the world with it's innovative single quick-set function and a full century year display but the most important fact was the price. It was almost half of it's competitors. Many variants came & went and this was finally discontinued by the factory about a decade ago but this watch is a legend.

The launch of this steel version in the late 1990s made it a darling among watch collectors as it was made even more affordable than before. These DaVincis have become quite rare in the pre-owned market now & only appears once in a while. This watch is programmed to the year 2499 but you must send it to the factory in 2100 to set it to skip the leap year followed by 2200 to replace the year slide which is given to you in a tiny sealed glass tube. Will Earth exist then?

The case & buckle of this watch is in superb condition & functions well. This watch was subjected to a full overhaul by the agent with a bill dated 23 May 2011 for $1018. An original bracelet is sold with this watch & this alone is worth few thousand dollars if you were to order from the factory.
