About This Watch

Vintage. No box or papers. This is a local watch & belonged to a senior manager with Nikon back in the 1960~70s whose company was also agent for IWC watches. The owner kept it until recently and was sold by us to the current owner who saw little use with it. He is now upgrading his collection hence the sale of this lovely watch. This is a very handsome IWC in pristine condition. Solid gold watches were very expensive in Singapore in those days & this could have easily costed more than a similar gold model from Rolex.

As you can see from the pictures, this watch is in pristine condition with a solid case & no dents or major scratches whatsoever. In fact, the gold has oxidised to a reddish tint & dial plus hands are almost mint without blemishes. The watch works fine & may benefit with a fresh service though it was last serviced in 2008 by our mechanic.

Many IWC vintages in the market comes with a re-conditioned dial which is obviously avoided by collectors but this watch is 100% original.

This watch is fitted with an in-house movement developed by IWC & was found in several other important models. It has a hacking system with "Gyromax" style micro weight adjustment for the balance wheel & uses the Breguet overcoil hairspring.

Looking for a good home for this beautiful pedigree timepiece and we don't expect to find another in this condition & heritage.
