Pre-owned. Comes with orig. boxes, an A4 LE cert signed by the company President & dated paper including the original invoice! This is a very rare gem by Hublot for the Asian market back in the millennium when the brand was still a private manufacturer. We have sold one of these more than a decade ago & it is a delight to offer one again as only 100 numbered pieces were made so we don't expect to see much of them.

This Hublot Dragon is in splendid condition & free from any dents or major scratches that's visible to the naked eyes. It does not need a polish now & the movement has just been serviced by our technician. The rhodiumed hands have some oxidising due to age and this is something we cannot polish or clean but it does not affect the performance of the watch. The hands are also very narrow so this is not an obvious issue.

This is a one owner's watch purchased new from The Hour Glass in Singapore with an invoice for S$6780, a princely sum 15yrs ago when Hublot watches were less than S$10K before the time of Big Bangs. It comes with everything and is a desirable collector's item. It has never been polished and retains the factory finish which is very desirable and shows that the watch was carefully worn over the years.

The steel hunting cover features a hand-engraved Chinese dragon with initials of the artist. The cover protects the dial springs open with vigor when you squeeze the two buttons at the ends of the horizon bar at 6 o'clock & closes tightly with a loud clip. It is interesting to see roman characters engraved onto the bezel surrounding the dial, a classic touch on a modern watch. The Zen-like black dial has silver markings evokes a modernist approach which is still prevalent today on Hublot watches. This is a slim watch measuring just 11mm including the thick steel cover & actual watch with the glass is only 8.5mm thin, quite impressive for an automatic watch!

There are very few hunting cased wristwatches ever made in modern times by luxury watchmakers, this is one that's very affordable and the auspicious Dragon is very appealing. We will be launching some watches by a firm that offers bespoke engravings on luxury watches and the prices are in tens of thousands so this watch is a steal at S$5K.

Hublot was founded in 1980, four years after Carlo Crocco left the Binda group with an ambition to create his own luxury watch company. After founding the company MDM Genève and deciding on the name Hublot (French for ‘Porthole’) the brand introduced the first wristwatch to use natural rubber strap in the 1980 Baselworld Watch Fair.

In 2004 Hublot was joined by former Omega president Jean-Claude Biver and under his guidance has become one of the most sought after brands in the world.
