The wristwatch Resonance is invented by FP Journe who observed this phenomenom which is usually found in pendulum clocks. A pendulum clock enters resonance & stops due to the driving weight suspended from it's cords. Antide Janvier discovered that by having two pendulums from one movement, it compensates the energy expanded & beats together @ the same constant force, thus "entering resonance".

FP Journe's "Chronomètre à Résonance" wristwatch uses the same principle. The objective is to achieve a constant rate in a watch exposed to movements on the wrist. The double synchronised balances compliments each other by compensating & absorbing; when one is slowed, the other speeds up & a common frequency is achieved at all times. It took more than twenty years of research & development and is the first wristwatch to achieve this in a century of wrist-watchmaking.
