Vintage. No box/papers. This is a beautiful & fine looking ultra-slim Ebel in steel & was retailed by Cooke & Kelvey from India & signed on the dial above 6 O'clock. Case has been polished & movement was serviced. It is in very good original condition now with an unsigned (probably original due to it's matching size) crown. Case is stamped & numbered. We seldom see any vintage Ebels & this is a fine example. With proper & tender care, we expect this to serve you well for many decades to come. Movement is in mint condition & shines like new!

Cooke & Kelvey is a retailer of fine silverware & was founded in 1858 by Robert Thomas Cooke and Charles Kelvey in Calcutta, India. And it is said that no colonial household was considered tasteful without its silverware cutlery. Its silver caskets were presented to the Prince of Wales during his Calcutta trip in 1875. They were comparable to the Tiffany & Co & Aspreys of London. They also supplied clocks, chronometers & watches to nobles & the wealthy. The company exists today & is owned by the local Khemka family since 1946. Today they have interests in fashion accessories & other merchandises.
