This Premier Retrograde is one of the most popular model by Daniel Roth but this particular example here is the first time that we've come across using a vintage manual winding movement instead of the regular modern automatic so this must have been one of the earliest examples of the Premier Retrograde. It's also probably a special production series where the serial number is printed on the dial @ 5 while the movement is numbered to match as well and such numbering system is usually done by watchmakers on selected handmade pieces in small quantities.

Look @ the watch and please spend some time to admire it's beauty. The golden Ellipsocurvex case is a hallmark of Daniel Roth, a masterwatchmaker who learnt his craft in centurion Audemars Piguet & spent 14years rebuilding Breguet which would go on to influence him hence the dial on this watch is hand guilloché with knurled perimeters while the interlocking rings shows the passing of intimate moments indicated by Javeline styled hands that were heated to blued steel beauty and of course with the hours stamped with Romanised numerals.
