About This Watch

Pre-owned & mint! Comes with orig. boxes, manual & dated authorised paper! This is the 100th anniversary model launched in 2004 to much applause, the back cover is engraved with 1904-2004. This watch was acquired in a Cartier boutique here & watch is good as new. No wear whatsoever  & watch is water resistant to 100m. Watch appears to be unused & strap as fresh as new. No dents or scratches. If you like big watches, good design, reasonable price & good re-sale value, you won't go wrong with this.

Louis Cartier designed the original Santos watch for his friend: Alberto S. Dumont in 1904 & it has been in production since then. Alberto Santos-Dumont was a Brazilian aviator pioneer who lived in Paris & made several flying achievements, airships & planes. He was a friend of Louis Cartier (Founder of Cartier) who made the Santos watch for him. It was the first commercially available wristwatch.

Straps Fitted with an orig. brown Croco L/strap (never worn) & a signed halfgold twin deployant buckle.
Hands Black, skeletonised & filled with luminous with a sweep centre seconds hand.
