Classic. No box or papers but watch has just received a complete works by Cartier and comes with a 1yr international warranty from March 2020.

This watch has been completely serviced by Cartier with a new dial set, hands, crystal, gaskets, crown and screws replaced. A Cartier red velvet pouch comes with the sale making this a very compelling purchase. *Images shown here are pre-service and the actual watch is better now with blued steel hands.

This Tank Must de Cartier Vermeil was first introduced in 1977 and has since been an integral part of Cartier's collection, offering an affordable entry level watch to attract new Cartier clients. The case is made of solid 925 Silver and plated to 20 microns gold hence it is named Vermeil (pronounced as Ver-mail) otherwise known as silver gilt.

This is a ladies version which makes it one of the smallest Tank to feature a hand winding mechanical movement and is a collector's item today as they were fitted with quartz movements from the late 1990s onwards.

This specimen has an original dial in the famous Trinity tri-colour gold with a pink-gold center flanked by white then yellow gold and complete with the blue spinel cabochon crown. It has an original Cartier gold plated buckle and a new non-Cartier leather strap. The original gold plating is a little worn on the edges but hardly visible to the naked eyes.

It is simple to maintain and will accompany you for decades bearing in mind that these are not water-resistant watches. This remains an affordable entry to the fascinating world of Cartier luxury and the Tank is enjoying a rennaisance recently with the renewed interest among international dealers and collectors. A current Tank Santos Dumont in Platinum is selling for S$60K.
