A very fine open face pocket watch by Vacheron & Constantin Genève made under the collection of Chronometre Royal which is still on sale today. This is a triple signed example and a completely Swiss made example as many early watches were export models that were cased by the importers.

The white enamel dial is in perfect condition with black Arabic numerals & railway track minute divisions with a small seconds. This is topped by a pair of matching Moon style hands in gold. The solid gold case is in very good condition throughout with original bow and crown except for two tiny dings to the edge of the case band @ 5 & 8 O'clock but largely negligible. The back cover has a monogram with the letters MP engraved onto it. The inner cuvette has the factory name proudly engraved onto it in old English fonts.

A beautiful gold gilt movement is fitted as can be seen and production numbers traces this watch to 1924 so our watch here is almost a century old now and delivered with it's original leather bound box with satin interior.

This watch was there and saw it all including the devastating WW2. Made by the Geneva factory for the American market with a triple signed case, dial and movement. This is a stem set watch so the crown functions as the modern watches and takes about 18 winds to full power reserve & pulling out sets the time.

Vacheron & Constantin is the oldest watch manufacturer in continuing production for the last four centuries centuries starting in 1755.
