This is a highly sought after collector's item, it is the link between the first Tudor Rose logo 7928 and the more common Snowflake but more importantly, this model bears close resemblance to the Rolex Submariner with similar specs, dial and Mercedes hands. The Tudor "Lollipop Submariner" was discontinued several decades ago, this beautiful example dates to 1970 with the inner back cover stamped with IV 68 which signifies 4th quarter of 1968 production & uses Rolex parts such as the crown & case. The back cover is engraved with "Original Case by Rolex Geneva" and features the Triplock Rolex crown as well that was released in 1970.

The bezel insert is the same aluminium with immersion scale and lume pearl insert similar to Rolex Submariner of the same era.

Watch had been polished and is generally in excellent condition throughout except for a few marks on top of the lug at 2 o'clock that can be seen in pics but they can be polished away upon request.  The back cover is left unpolished to show it's original condition as acquired with many marks and interestingly, there are hand-engraved numbers 413/1925 clearly visible on this image here which could be military markings but there are no further information.

Upon unlocking the back cover, it reveals a very good case and back without rust nor corrosion which is a delight. The movement shines brightly as it should and powered by the ETA workhorse automatic movement. The lume dot aka pearl on the insert has it's cap sheared away but remains there. The tritium on the dial and hands match while the matt black dial presents very well with no sign of water ingress. The hands do have oxidisation as they should. The kurled steel bezel and insert are in tip-top condition.

It is fitted with a 358B/7836 Tudor signed Oyster style bracelet with regular deployant buckle.
