According to factory archive cert, this watch was manufactured in 1913 and sold on December 1st 1915.

This fabulous open face pocket watch is cased in a heavy 18K yellow gold case which is triple stamped, numbered & hallmarked. It has a snap-on bezel and double-hinged back and weighs approx. 71.4gram.

The polished gold case is free from dents nor scratches & interestingly, has no personalisation as many pocket watches were often engraved by or for owners. Upon opening the back cover, you'll be greeted by the polished gold cuvette (dust cover) which is factory engraved by the brand and bearing serial numbers of the movement. Upon opening the cuvette, you'll see the top grade movement finished in nickel, featuring wolf's teeth winding gears, blued steel breguet overcoil hair spring & bi-metallic balance with gold screws. The plates are decorated with Côtes de Genève with bridges bevelled then polished. It is jewelled to the center & has a fine Swan-neck regulator. The movement is further adjusted to 8 positions for high accuracy.

It has a set of rare and very beautiful hands in the form of Fleur de Lis (Flower of lily) heated to blued steel and finished in finest workmanship with a matching small seconds which is really pretty; pls do take note of it's tail.

The kiln-baked white enamel dial is flawless & features Breguet style Arabic numerals in black with minutes & unusually, even the seconds in red which adds a nice touch of colour to the otherwise monotonous dial. The bow ring appears to be gold filled & swings as it should while the solid gold case is polished & presents very well.

Time setting and winding as any modern watch and takes about 14 winds to full.

This watch dates to approximately 1916, in the middle of WWI and is more than a century old by now. The quality & finishing of the movement by now is of very modern standards and shows. It is slimmer than the gold gilt calibres and ticks effortlessly, watching the world goes by even now and will continue to serve for generations to come.
