A gorgeous lady's wristlet in the style of an Officer's watch by Patek Philippe. This is not a conversion but an original wrist watch dated 1912. The triple hinged clam-shell 18ct gold case is triple hallmarked & signed throughout with the Calatrava Cross found on the insides of the back cover and cuvette. It has fixed wire lugs and crown is unsigned as they were never signed until after 1940s.

The watch is in excellent condition throughout with a flawless kiln baked white enamel dial featuring black Breguet style Arabic numerals with railway track minute divisions and double row signature. The hands are the defining factor here in hand-crafted solid gold of Louis XV style.

This watch was made for and engraved on the inner cover "Mabella Alberta Houston 1912 by Patek Philippe & Co Geneva, Swtzerland"

All hinges are tight and covers lock. The back cover has an elaborate engraving of alphabets MAH that are initials of the lady as above. Upon opening the back cover, you are greeted by the factory hand engraved cursive fonts bearing the maker's name and serial number of the movement on the gold cuvette (dust cover). Opening the cuvette, it reveals a beautiful movement in top quality (chronometer grade) and polished with Geneva stripes. It is also further engraved with the name of the retailer Sim & Co, Troy NY.

We have included a 1908 image of the Sim, Peirsons & Co department stall in Troy of New York for reference. It is very common for Swiss watch makers to sign jeweler's name on the movement and sometimes even the dial is signed by the jeweler instead of the manufacturer.

This is a historical timepiece that's more than a century old. It is properly signed and numbered; taking just 8 winds to full reserve.

1912 is a year of many important historical events. The Republic of China was established. USA had a presidential election where Jersey Woodrow Wilson won. Titanic sets sail on her maiden & final voyage, British RAF was formed and beginning of the Balkan Wars. This lady's Patek Philippe survived all those and two World Wars.
