About This Watch

Pre-owned. No boxes but comes with orig. dated paper & manual. This watch has just completed a full service by AP factory including a new coating for the case & watch is good as new now. It's under factory warranty till Jan 2012, yes two years warranty from date of service.

This is probably the Offshore model that brought up the speculation craze & over-hyped limited editions for the collection. It is the first and probably last PVD coated watch from AP. Nobody paid attention to AP Offshores back in those days & S$50K is unheard of whereas L.Editions are now easily worth more than S$70K for non precious metals. We sold 6 new pieces of these brand new when they launched it back then. It retailed for a most reasonable S$19800 then & we sold them from S$11800-S$13800 after discount. It is named after the movie End-of-Days where it was given a full feature showing the time in the beginning of the show & was delivered with the DVD. The PVD coating was quite terrible as they peeled off after a while & the factory offered a 1 time non-conditional recoating for the owner. However, this model went on to become a legend together with the movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger who is now the governor of California.

Some of these were sold for S$80K while others are still trading for S$70K+ if you can find it now. This is priced very most reasonably due to it's condition.

Pictures shown are before restoration by the factory. It looks much better than these & better than original as the factory seems to have developed a new process for the black PVD coating, making it more resilient against wear.

Viewing upon confirmation, we do not display this in our gallery.
